I like numbers you can check. So here is my data policy as plain questions, with exact answers you can hold me to.
Five numbers to remember
- 0 advertising cookies and 0 trackers on this site.
- 1 small cookie, which lasts 30 days.
- 0 times your details are sold or rented.
- 90 days, and then the raw copy of your email is deleted.
- 30 days, at most, to answer your data request at [email protected].
Who runs this site, and where do I send privacy questions?
Elsa Norberg Golf runs this site, the books and the membership. That is the only name behind them.
Privacy questions go to [email protected].
What is collected when I just read the pages?
Almost nothing. You need no account, and there is no sign-up form. I use no advertising cookies, no tracking pixels, no Google or Facebook trackers and no analytics scripts.
Hosting is done by Cloudflare. It processes your IP address to deliver the pages and protect them.
What do you measure when I come from a video link or QR code?
I record the time, the video or link, the page it led to, and your country. I also add a scrambled code made from your IP address.
The IP address is never stored. The scrambled code cannot be reversed into it. With this, I measure which videos help people.
A single small cookie is kept for 30 days. It remembers which version of the book page you saw, so you see the same one next time. No other cookie is set by this site. Hotmart's checkout sets its own, under Hotmart's policy.
Which details reach you when I become a member?
Hotmart sends me your name, email, country, time zone, membership status and dates, and the video or link you came from. I keep them to send your letters.
Each letter reports whether it was delivered and which of its links were clicked.
What if I start a checkout but do not finish?
Then Hotmart may share your name and email with me. The same applies if the payment fails.
I may send you up to two reminder emails. They stop with a single click. If you have already bought, you get none.
What do you receive when I buy a book?
Hotmart collects your name, email, billing and payment details on its secure checkout. Your card number is never shown to me.
Hotmart reports to me your email, the item, the price, your country and the video or link you came from. For book orders, I store a scrambled form of your email instead of the email.
How long do you keep the emails I send?
I keep your message and your email address to reply to you.
The complete raw copy of each email is deleted after 90 days. The message text remains, so I can follow our conversation.
Is AI involved when you answer me?
Possibly. An AI writing assistant may help draft my replies, to answer you faster. It uses your message for that purpose only.
For what purposes do you use my information?
Five purposes. Getting books and letters to you. Replying to questions. Handling refunds. Measuring which videos help.
And telling you about other books from Elsa Norberg Golf, with an unsubscribe link in each of those emails.
Who helps you run all this?
Payments, book delivery and membership billing are done by Hotmart. My emails go out through Resend. Cloudflare hosts the site, keeps my data and receives email sent to me.
Each has its own privacy policy, worth a read.
Could my information be sold to advertisers?
That will not happen. I never sell or rent personal information, and it is never shared for advertising.
How do I unsubscribe, or see, correct or delete my data?
Use the one-click unsubscribe link in any email. Or reply with the single word “unsubscribe”.
Wherever you live in the US, including California, write to [email protected] to see, correct or delete your data. I answer within 30 days.
Hotmart keeps its own purchase records, as required by law.
For how long is my information stored?
While you are a member, your details are kept, until you ask me to delete them.
After you unsubscribe: only a scrambled “do not email” note, so you are never emailed again. Order records are kept as long as the law requires.
Do you collect information from children?
The books and membership are for adults. Data from children under 13 is never knowingly collected.
How will I see if this policy changes?
The page will be updated, and so will its “Last updated” date. Check that date to see the latest version.

Calm hands, steady numbers. — Elsa
